For the past twenty-three years (except for the covid years) many of us have gathered for the annual New Year’s Day Chinese Dinner.
According to Chinese tradition, it is good luck and good health to eat Chinese food on New Year’s Day.
We will be dining at a new restaurant which receives a 4.7 online rating from customers. I have dined there twice, and the food is outstanding. The name of the restaurant is the Osaki Restaurant in Clementon, NJ (located in the Shop Rite shopping center).
The restaurant is not difficult to reach, especially on a lightly traveled day like New Year’s Day. See the map below.
- Dinner will be served family style with your choice of
- Soups (wonton or hot and sour)
- Crab Rangoon and egg roll for appetizers
Harriet will be treating everyone to red or white wine, or you can bring your own bottle if you like.

The restaurant can reserve 30 seats for us, so the first 30 that send their check will be guaranteed their seat.
